Our History
The beginnings
Started in 1992, as Tom, Mike & Stelli. Thomas Lauwiner (Voc), Michel Röthlisberger (Keys) & Stefan Streit (Guit, Flute)
Start of Silence
Nadja Stoller (Voc) joined and they founded Silence
Maxi-Single
1993 Maxi single in the black box. René Eberhard (Bass) joined during the recordings
Band extension
1994 Michael Schaffner (Perc.) & Ives Dobler (Woodwinds) enlarged the formation
Tides
1995 Tides was recorded with producer David Plüss
Band formation
1996 Nadja left the band and Liz Hausammann took her place
1997 Michael Schaffner & Ives Dobler left the band and were replaced by Christian Benz (Drums)
Visible
1998 Visible was recorded with guest musician Stephan Meister / saxophone
Openair Castle Hünigen
1999 last legendary concert Openair Hünigen with IONA. After the departure of Yves Dobler / saxophone Raphael Stutz "Pam" completed the band
Reunion
2013 Reunion with 2 new band members, Nadja Lauwiner (Voc) & Alex Strässle (Perc)
2014 Fritz Rentsch joins us as sound engineer
